You are protected both by State and Federal laws and, more importantly, by our commitment to you.
Online Security
When you browse the public areas of the Ohio Valley Financial Group home page and related pages at www.ovbank.com, none of your account or personal information is obtained for storage on Ohio Valley Financial Group's systems.
We use proven encryption methods to transmit account information across the internet and we require customers to use browsers that support Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. When clients are accessing the online information, their connection is automatically converted into a secure Internet communications session. SSL encryption is the industry standard and is commonly used in Internet applications that require security and privacy for sensitive data. In addition, the following precautions are adhered to:
- Account numbers are never displayed. Instead of displaying account numbers, each account is given a pseudo name that can be changed by the customer at any time.
- Social Security Numbers and Employer Identification Numbers are never displayed. To keep these numbers confidential, a row of X's appears in place of the numbers.
- A valid NetTeller Identification Number and PIN are required. Only your valid NetTeller Identification Number and PIN will allow you to sign on to Ohio Valley Financial Group's OV Online. If these numbers are incorrectly entered three consecutive times, the account will be locked to prohibit further entries.
- The internet banking session will automatically log-off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
